Jeff has been a dedicated activist for liberty for several decades and previously served as Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Northeast Ohio. He also managed several state conventions in the late ’80s.

Paul has served as Cuyahoga County chairman of the LPO for the past several years, earned over 10,000 votes, almost four percent, in his race for the 10th District Congressional seat in 2008 and has been extremely skillful in setting up and managing various websites and making financial reports, including for me.

We plan to continue to meet at Denny’s for next year on the first Wednesday of each month.

Central Committee meetings are planned for January and July. Executive Committee meetings

will be held in January, April, July and October and whenever else necessary, according to the

Other meetings will be of an educational and/or social nature.

                                    2011 ELECTION OPPORTUNITIES

This year there will be elections for many offices throughout Cuyahoga County, including the position of mayor in various cities and councilmen. Many of these are nonpartisan and don’t require a great amount of money to run effectively.

You can have the opportunity to speak out against high taxes, excessive regulation and other statist acts such as red light cameras. Best of all, this is your opportunity to vote for the perfect candidate, someone you can trust completely and whom you know will never betray you or your principles i.e. yourself. Let me assure you that when you stand in the election booth and vote for yourself, it is a very pleasant, stimulating experience.

Unfortunately, neither the state nor county party will be likely be able to provide you with any financing, although not much money is needed for local races. Each city and village has different requirements. Some are as early as February 2, so don’t procrastinate. I plan to have at least one copy of requirements for all offices in each jurisdiction of Cuyahoga County at the meeting. For those who want to do your own research, see and

I do not plan to run for office this year so I will be available with advice and help for your campaigns. As much as possible we can count on Jeff and Paul as we have in recent years.

We will also be discussing a Libertarian Party of Cuyahoga County website.

Attention, especially for Columbus area former candidates and other Libertarians. On Friday, February 4, at 9:30 A.M. there will be a probable cause hearing concerning my charges against The Ohio Christian Alliance CASE NO. 2010E-135. I have attached a copy of the complaint which I sent to the Ohio Elections Commission in November after the election.

Ohio Elections Commission
21 West Broad St., Suite 600
Columbus, Ohio 43215

Dear Sirs,

My name is David Macko. I live at 28810 Cannon Road, Solon, Ohio 44139. I was the Libertarian candidate for State Representative in Ohio House District 17 in the recent election.

My complaint pertains to the Ohio Christian Alliance, Post Office Box 3076, Akron, Ohio 44309, whose  website is Their phone number is 330-887-1922.

The Ohio Christian Alliance Voter Guide  published and distributed a piece of campaign literature, titled

Ohio Christian Alliance Voter Guide, which falsely claimed that “All candidates in the following House districts did not respond to the Ohio Christian Alliance 2010 Candidate Survey:” and listed House District 17 as a jurisdiction where no candidate responded to its survey.

I certify that I responded to all surveys which I was sent, as well as to some which I was not sent. Either they did not send it to me  or they did not publish my response.

I believe that this is a violation of Ohio Revised Code Section 3517.21 Section B Clause 10.

(B) No person, during the course of any campaign for nomination or election to public office or office of a political party, by means of campaign materials, including sample ballots, an advertisement on radio or television or in a newspaper or periodical, a public speech, press release, or otherwise, shall knowingly and with intent to affect the outcome of such campaign do any of the following:

(10) Post, publish, circulate, distribute, or otherwise disseminate a false statement concerning a candidate, either knowing the same to be false or with reckless disregard of whether it was false or not, if the statement is designed to promote the election, nomination, or defeat of the candidate.

This statement could have cost me votes if the election had been closer.

I request that the Ohio Christian Alliance should be admonished for this false statement so that they and other organizations will not act in this disreputable manner again.

For life and liberty,

David Macko

Sworn to and subscribed before me this ____  day of November, AD 2010.

The hearing will take place in the Office of the Ohio Elections Commission on the sixth floor of the Wyandotte Building, 21 West Broad Street, Columbus.

My attendance, while strongly encouraged, is not mandatory. As of now, I probably will not attend, but if anyone, especially other candidates who were similarly mistreated, wishes to do so I would be interested in the results. Here is a list of State Districts where the Ohio Christian Alliance claimed there were no responses to its survey: 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10,12,13, 15,16,18,19,20,21,22, 26,27,28.29,30,31,33,34,37,38,39,40, 45,46,47,48,49,50,52,54,55, 57, 58,59,62,63,66,69,71,72,76,79,80,81,82,83,85,86,89,90,91,92,94,95 and 96.

If you received this inquiry and tried to respond or if you are sure you did not receive it, you should notify the Commission that the OCA bore false witness against you, too.

AARON ZELMAN 1946 – 2010 R.I.P.

Aaron Zelman, a dedicated and very creative patriot and founder and Executive Director of Jews For The Preservation Of Firearms Ownership, of which I am a gentile life member, died on December 21. He was a staunchly determined advocate of our God-given right to keep and bear arms. His efforts in the battle to restore liberty will be missed. Here is more information:

Congratulations to Ohio Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Ken Matesz and Congressional candidates, Marc Johnston 2nd District, Brian Smith 5th District and Jeffrey Blevins 16th District as well as other alternate party candidates, the Constitution Party’s Lindsey Sutton 18th District, and Senatorial candidates Eric Deaton CP, Independent Michael Pryce and Socialist Daniel LaBotz  for getting more than 10,000 votes and being listed in the 2011 World Almanac And Book Of Facts.

In 2008, they listed Paul Conroy, Steve Linnabary and Mark Noble, but not me. I expressed my opinion to them but received no response. This year they stated that only candidates for governor and Congress who earned more than 10,000 votes were listed, in order to cover themselves. If any Congressional candidates who received less than 10,000 votes wish to contact them and express yourself about this matter, the senior editor is Sarah Janssen and their address is 132 West 31st Street, New York, New York 10001. Or if you are listed, I suppose that you could thank them if you wish to do so. Libertarian Senatorial candidates, Rebecca Sink-Burris of Indiana and the late, lamented David Nolan in Arizona, who received over 10,000 votes were listed.

If anyone wants copies of my campaign literature, especially if you are considering running for the state legislature in 2012, send a stamped self-addressed envelope with 61 cents postage to Macko For Liberty, Post Office Box 39233, Solon, Ohio 44139. From the Council of Conservative Citizens comes this outrageous report which indicates the dreadful double standard which the enemy is using against us and how it utilizes its kept establishment media.

Rap Star Kanye West Makes Video Where He Kills White Women.

Here, briefly, are a few lessons for all of you in the form of questions.

  1. Why did you hear about this atrocity from a relatively small web site, rather than ABC, CBS, NBC or

  1. Why did you not hear about it from the kept establishment media? Certainly, this is sensational enough, isn’t

  1. Where is the protest from the hypocrites at the Southern Poverty Law Center?
  2. Or the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith?
  3. Or the National Association For the Advancement of Colored People? One would think that they would be

more concerned with their image.

  1. What if a White, Christian musician had written and performed a song about killing, especially beheading (fill in your favorite minority group) ?

(This is so good that I thought I would leave it up for one more message.)Here is the best brief explanation of ‘Quantitative Easing’ and the Federal Reserve System which I have ever seen. Some of the language is not suitable for children, but not nearly as obscene as what the international banksters and their Republocrat whores who misrule are doing to the American people and the rest of the world. Grit your teeth and enjoy hearing the truth succinctly presented.

Then go to work with renewed effort to end the Fed and establish an honest currency based on gold, silver, platinum or something else which government cannot create out of nothing.

For those of you who have not been following Ohio news for the last year, Charlie Earl, the Libertarian candidate for Ohio Secretary of State, conducted the most active, vigorous campaign in Ohio this year. The only disadvantage of his campaign was that those of us who had to speak after him felt the same way as a speaker would who had to follow a speech by Patrick Henry. He is now commenting regularly about the nature of the world. I recommend that you sign up to receive all of  his observations, even though we disagree about the so-called ‘Fair Tax’.

In June I shall celebrate (?) my 65th birthday. I can clearly recall the apprehensive times of the Cold War. I have some vague recollections of the Korean Conflict. The Vietnam Fiasco is current history for me, and the two Kennedy and King assassinations have been burned onto my memory banks. I vividly recall Disco and the Bee Gees as well as alternate day gasoline purchases. The high interest rates and rampant inflation during the late ‘70’s and early ‘80’s are easily accessible from my pain-laden memory banks. I can still visualize the second aircraft turning into the Twin Towers while I watched from the safety of my daughter’s living room. The sense of horror and dread that I felt at that moment is still with me. It marked the beginning of a decade that has changed our nation forever.

As I reflect on the past nine and a quarter years, I can recall of no similar period in my lifetime that has been as unsettling for so long. Every decade had its lows and highs…its endings and fresh beginnings, but the first decade of the Twenty-first Century has been one of doubt, frustration, and, in some cases, fear. My fears are not based on the possibility of my family or me becoming victims of terrorism, nor do they arise from a morbid expectation of an environmental catastrophe. No, my fears are deep-seated and gnawing. They represent a sense of exaggerated uneasiness and discomfort.  My mind continues to protest that what is bad could be worse, and we can salvage our nation and make it better. My gut disagrees. Perhaps it is a product of my age, but I have this nagging sense that the sand is near the bottom of the hour glass…that our time is nearly gone. Oh, maybe we’ll survive as a nation, but we’ll have radical divisions among us…sometimes violent ones, and our once-upon-a-time economic powerhouse and living standard will compete with other nations in the Second World.

Now it’s not my intention to make this column into a hand-wringing tale of woe. It is merely a personal observation of my sense of our nation today. This past year (2010) has been the most difficult one of my life. Maybe my view is jaundiced because I drove more than 85,000 miles during a ten month campaign. Many of the events that I attended were exhilarating and fulfilling, but beneath the glad handing, the smiling and the speech making was an undercurrent of dismay. The people were valiantly attempting to forge on as if their lives were normal, but they appeared to be anxious. I drove past numerous closed plants and foreclosed homes. I visited convenience stores with empty dusty shelves. The overall mood that I witnessed was one of apprehension, but not yet despairing. A certain wariness seemed to have invaded the normally warm hearted Buckeyes. It was a cordial caution.

Normally I’m a rather upbeat fellow. I prefer to seek the silver lining when I encounter difficult times. The sense of foreboding that I have now is alien to my nature. I have a new appreciation for the Old Testament prophets who valiantly attempted to wake up the Children of Israel, and who were usually ignored or scorned. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t see myself as a spokesperson for God or the Founders, but I do understand their agony when their messages went unheeded. Also, I am aware that my concern and my fearfulness are not solely my own. There are many of you, warriors all, who have decided that it is time to draw the line and say, “NO MORE.”  I am heartened by your passion and your courage.

Tomorrow I will look to the days and years ahead, and will try not to be so morose. Allow me to close by stating that I’m relieved that 2010 is nearly over…mere hours remain of what, for me, has been a dreadful year.

Here from Fox News by means of Alex Jones’ Infowars, here is a report which claims that we may be on the verge of a new ice age

Although this report appears to be much more accurate than the fraudulent information concerning the global warming hoax and the speaker is a real scientist who has been accurate about this winter so far, it is well to keep the accuracy of five day forecasts in mind when considering what may happen in a thousand years, a hundred years or even in the next few months.

Again, to everyone of good will, whether  Christian, Jew, Muslim, pagan, agnostic or atheist, who is working to restore liberty, justice and peace, I wish a healthy, prosperous, peaceful New Year of liberty.
