Macko Unleashed

Macko Unleased #33a

You are all invited to the next monthly meeting of the Libertarian Party of Cuyahoga County, 7:00 PM this coming Wednesday, December 5 at Denny’s Restaurant 4331 West 150th Street, Cleveland, just south of I 71. We will continue to hold our meetings at the same location on the first Wednesday of each month if there is sufficient interest. If you wish to eat, you should arrive by 6:00 PM. As always, our meetings are free and open to the public. Bring friends to become better informed.

Debbie Dean, Ohio coordinator of the Gary Johnson campaign, who helped greatly to win Gary Johnson his record setting vote in Ohio, will discuss her experiences.

I will be happy to comment about my campaign experiences. All former candidates, including non-Libertarians, are invited to participate. As always, our meetings are free and open to the public.

If you have suggestions for future speakers or programs or any other questions or comments, please email me or call me at 440-248-8620. To insure that there are sufficient members of the audience, please RSVP.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me, those of you who donated money, helped to distribute campaign literature and helped my campaign in any way, especially to Nynke, Brian, Neil, Brian, Dennis, Brian, Richard, Carey, Jason, Todd, Peggy, Jerry, Mark and Jerry. Everything which was done is a cumulative effort to restore liberty.

Also, thanks to most of the League of Women Voters affiliates and other organizations in my district which made it possible for me to proclaim liberty, sometimes altering their schedules so that that my competitors and I were able to attend several events per evening when necessary, even though they were sometimes 50 miles apart or more. The LWV affiliates in Geauga and Portage counties also put out excellent candidate information fliers in which I was able to express myself and my principles. These nonpolitical and, often, non libertarian organizations were much more open minded than other organizations which you would expect either to support or at least give candidates who believe in the Constitution, limited government and lower (in my case, much lower) taxes a fair hearing. See below under HYPOCRITES and LIARS.

These figures are as of late November.

Popular vote count is preliminary. Many states will not certify their results until late November or early December.[121][122][123][124][125][126]

This is the highest vote total for any Libertarian candidate for president and the second highest percentage of any Libertarian candidate since Ed Clark in 1980. It is also the first time since 1980 when I have voted for any presidential candidate who received over one million votes.

Gary Johnson, two term former governor of New Mexico, was a great candidate, a man of principle and dedication. He had more executive experience than any of our previous candidates and both of his opponents. The enemy feared him. This is proven by the fact that the media tried to ignore him and kept him from participating in the phony debates between the communist and fascist candidates, as well as dirty underhanded efforts by fascist Republicans in several states, including Ohio, to keep him off the ballot. Gary Johnson is fairly young and in very good health, as witnessed by his athletic feats. The best way for him to gain name recognition is to run again in 2016 and later. The socialist Norman Thomas became a household name by running for president six times. We have a much better “product”, to excuse the partial dehumanization. I think that Gary Johnson can win in less than six elections. Lets try.

Among the most important factors in George Romney’s defeat was the the thuggish treatment of Ron Paul, the greatest living American statesman and his supporters as well as the actual theft of primary elections by totally immoral Romneyite supporters. This alone was sufficient to lose him the support of any self respecting voters, especially Republicans. Next, the efforts by the fascist Republicans to keep Gary Johnson off the ballot, which were unsuccessful except in Michigan, where he was a write-in and fascist Oklahoma, whose citizens were again denied the opportunity to vote for anyone except the bottom of the barrel, Obamney, should have been enough to make any honorable person vote for Gary Johnson. That, combined with Romney’s horrible record of support for socialized medicine, Romneycare which morphed into Obamacare, gun control, abortion and a host of other positions on which he brazenly flipflopped for political gain, made it almost reasonable for low IQ and other Americans to vote for Barry.

Here are the results in my race, assuming that the votes were counted honestly. See and work for the return of paper ballots, manually counted and witnessed at the polls and guarded until they reach election headquarters.,_2012#District_14 The results for all Congressional races in Ohio are included here.

Ohio’s 14th Congressional District election, 2012 [23]
Party Candidate Votes Percentage
Republican David Joyce 179,704 54.32%
Democratic Dale Blanchard 127,467 38.53%
Green Elaine Mastromatteo 12,546 3.79%
Libertarian David Macko 11,088 3.35%
Nonpartisan Aaron Zurbrugg (write-in) 6 0.00%
Totals 330,811 100%

This compares to the 9511 votes (2.94%) which I won in 2008 in a three way race, a slight improvement, especially in a four way race. Although I did better than my two Libertarian colleagues who were in four way races, I was the only one who received less votes than my Green Party opponent in Ohio. In Arkansas, several Green Party candidates got more votes than Libertarians. To her credit, Mrs. Mastromatteo was very personable, as were my establishment opponents except when they agreed to participate in the phony City Club debate. (See below.)

I might have been too moderate in my campaign. Perhaps I should have stressed the historic fact that secession is a Constitutional remedy for federal oppression, specifically mentioned when the states of New York, Rhode Island and Virginia ratified the Constitution, and is protected by the Tenth Amendment.

As many of you know, especially those who have read my website, and my other campaign literature, I oppose the Libertarian Party position regarding the right to life and support the position of Libertarians for Life, and its founder, a great lady, Doris Gordon.

Near the end of the campaign I was contacted by supporters of Randall Terry, the heroic founder of Operation Rescue, and finally by Mr. Terry himself, to be a sponsor of an advertisement to defend the right to life and liberty.

After I determined that this advertisement would not indicate that I supported anyone other than Gary Johnson for president, I gladly agreed to participate in this effort to defend life and liberty from the Obama administration’s assault on life and persecution of Christians and to gain favorable attention for  my campaign. I specifically required that my party affiliation be included in the advertisement. As is so often the case, taking the principled position is also beneficial pragmatically. Preliminary reports from Cuyahoga County indicate that Gary Johnson, Kalin Stipe, Scott Rupert and I did better with election day voters than with absentee voters who had less opportunity to learn about us.

It is regrettable that the LPO chose to remove my name and contact information from the LPO website after a few calls from pro-aborts rather than refer them to me so that I could defend myself. My only other regret in this matter is that I was not given an opportunity to criticize Romney in any ad.

2013 is the third year of the sesquicentennial commemoration of the War for Southern Independence (the Civil War to “public” school graduates) and the second year of the bicentennial celebration of the War of 1812 or Second War for Independence. Health, financial status and other conditions permitting, I plan to enjoy some of these opportunities before I decide what I want to do in 2014. However, it should always be remembered that the best opportunity to vote for the perfect candidate is to run for office, yourself.

                                         HYPOCRITES AND LIARS

The unquestioned leader of lying, slanderous hypocrites and cowards this year is James Foster, Executive Director of the City Club of Cleveland. Ironically, while the City Club celebrates the one hundredth anniversary of its existence with its false claims of being the citadel of free speech and a defender of diversity, this whited sepulcher * kept me, my Green Party opponent, Elaine Mastromatteo, 9th US District Sean Stipe and Independent US Senate candidate, Scott Rupert, from debating and allowing voters to hear the truth and judge for themselves.

The lying slanderous hypocrite Foster falsely claimed that I had not contributed anything to the honest debate in 2008 and that many members thought that I was “negative” whatever that means.  His clumsy lie was so transparent and insulting to voters that he did not even bother to excuse the exclusion of Sean Stipe, Elaine Mastromatteo and Scott Rupert from the phony debates. What is your excuse for their exclusions, Jim?

To watch the honest 2008 debate see,,,,

You can also see Paul Conroy on YouTube at City Club Conroy and the honest Presidential debate at City Club Barr, City Club Baldwin or City Club Nader. How the mighty have succumbed to political correctness and cowardice since 2008.

My slogan for the City Club is “The Dung Heap Of Political Correctness”. It is not copyrighted and you may use it with or without attribution.

                               MORE ENEMIES OF LIBERTY

A close second to Mr. Foster are the editors of the Sun News, who not only insulted me and Mrs. Mastromatteo by referring to our possible election as a detriment, but also insulted the establishment Democrat, Dale Blanchard, and didn’t even have too much good to say about their endorsed candidate, Mr. Joyce. So far, none of the editors has responded to my suggestion that one of them should come down from their ivory tower, get off his (or her) high horse and run for Congress in 2014.

Regarding the Plain Dealer, although its website did provide accurate information about me, the print version ignored me and my Green Party opponent except to list us on their front page twice when LaTourette (Freedom Index Rating 54 for the current Congress chose to drop out. Although Sabrina Eaton of the PD’s Washington bureau hinted that there would be articles about us, the only Libertarian candidate who received any attention from her was our 16th District Congressional candidate who got seven column inches of news after he dropped out. If this is a subliminal message to us, I reject it. Perhaps this attitude, combined with the PD’s incessant support for the “public” schools, especially levies,  which have drastically reduced the literacy of the American people is part of the reason why the PD will soon publish only three days a week. Tom Beres, Senior Political Reporter for WKYC, also may have learned the lesson taught by the most honest newsman of whom I am aware, John Swinton. (See “John Swinton on the independence of the press.” Mr. Beres also hinted about a report about local Libertarian and other alternate candidates but then apparently thought better, or is that worse, of the idea.

I want to thank Peggy Slingluff and the good patriots of the Andover Tea Party who believe in and defend liberty. On the other hand there are such fellows as Chuck Laughlin of the Lake County Tea Party and Tom Zawistowski of the Portage County Tea Party who refused to invite me to their phony Rebloodlican candidates forums. They are either Romneyoid enemies of liberty or cowards who were so terrified of the communist tyrant, Obama, that they were willing to support the fascist tyrant, Romney. In either event I will have nothing to do with them. If you wish to communicate with them, their email addresses are Tom Zawistowski <> and Chuck Laughlin <> They are no better than the corrupt establishment elites such as the City Club of Cleveland. In fact, they are much worse, since they pretend to support liberty rather than admit they, like the NRA and the National Right to Life Association, are really tools of the Rebloodlican establishment who try to fulfill their evil wishes by pretending that the Libertarian Party and other patriots do not exist.

                     LOCAL AND STATE ELECTIONS

US Senate  Scott Rupert, a dedicated and very hardworking Independent candidate, who demonstrated his dedication to liberty and support of the Constitution,  earned five percent of the votes, almost the difference between Mandel and Brown. He was also suppressed by the enemies of liberty who control the establishment media. His current website is listed as Scott Rupert 2016.

State Board of Education District 7 Sarah Fowler, a very well home schooled and constitutionalist patriot, won an absolute majority against two men. As long as we have government schools which are controlled by the state of Ohio we need people such as Miss Fowler in this office.

Ohio Representative District 61 Ron Young’s reelection is another victory for liberty and justice.

Ohio Representative District 99 Casey Kozlowski Except for knowledge of nullification, unless he has read Dr. Thomas Woods’ book very recently, (Nullification: How To Resist Federal Tyranny in the 21st Century which I recommend to all lawmakers), he is a well-informed constitutionalist. Unfortunately, he fell to the Obama sweep in his district. Lets hope that he reads Dr. Woods’ book and runs again.

Ohio Representative District 63 Patricia Paridon is another very dedicated patriot and not part of the Rebloodlican establishment. Another moral victory, despite her defeat.

Daniel Cartwright Portage County Clerk of Court of Common Pleas Likewise

Dr. Marisha Agana Congress Ohio 13th District She is a very well-informed physician and also fell to the Obama vote.

Nick Skeriotis State Representative 75th District is another courageous, well-informed candidate (on most issues) who did not win, although I do not agree with his assessment of the Portage County Tea Party.

Ohio Issue 1 The voters recognized that we do not need a state constitutional convention now. Despite Ohioans’ two to one vote to oppose Obamacare and all other forms of socialized medicine, it is too dangerous to put our liberties at risk.

Ohio Issue 2 Unfortunately, the voters listened to the  Rebloodlican lies and distortions, typical Romneyite blather. Most of the leading establishment newspapers in Ohio, which are openly contemptuous of us and arrogantly try to deny our existence, opposed it. That should be enough for any informed Ohioan to support it. It was not perfect but it is impossible to imagine how the proposal could have worsened the situation. Lets see if the Rebloodlicans actually come up with a better solution. Don’t hold your breath.

Unfortunately, an unusually high percentage of education and other levies passed.

Cuyahoga County Issue 108 Port Authority Levy Fortunately, the voters recognized that  shipping owners should pay for port improvements and voted no.

                                                SOME POSITIVE RESULTS

The decision by the voters of Colorado and Washington state (the good Washington) to relegalize the use of marijuana for all purposes is a very good sign that the unconstitutional, police state war on drugs may be coming to an end.

Gary Johnson’s vote is also a very positive sign for the future, if we can convince him and Judge Gray to run again. Perhaps, even the reelection of Obama, apparently based on the principle that it is better to stick with the communist whom we know (at least a little)  rather than switch to the fascist whom we do not know, may indicate a silver lining on this black thundercloud. At least the Tea Party folks won’t think that they won anything significant and go to sleep.

                                                LOOKING FORWARD

Finally, I wish all of my fellow Christians a serene and joyous celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Caesars and the commissars have their day and depart into the abyss to their just reward, but Jesus Christ remains the same, yesterday, today and forever, the only sure hope of the world.

To everyone who is fighting to restore liberty, justice and peace, I wish all of you a healthy New Year with as much freedom and prosperity as possible.

For life, liberty and peace,

David Macko
